This marks the eighth year, the 6th and 8th grade students of The Saints Academy have collected plant and water data at the marsh located at Conomo Point, Essex.  The 6th grade continues to track the changes in vegetation along five areas of the marsh.  The 8th grade students returned after two years  to continue the investigation on a deeper level. They collected, processed, and analyzed 90 water samples focusing on the levels of nitrate and nitrite in the water.  The Saints Academy’s research centers around the question: Why is our marsh in jeopardy?
