I am very pleased to be home at Saints Academy, teaching your children this year. This will be my twenty-third year in Catholic schools as a teaching assistant, teacher, coach, faculty advisor, assistant principal, and principal. My experiences have been consistently rewarding. I take great pride in Catholic education and the work we do. This year will be a wonderful challenge, trying to bring Social Studies alive to my students at The Saints Academy. I am tremendously proud to be a member of the SA family!

I am a graduate of Catholic schools: Matignon High School in Cambridge and Merrimack College (BA - History). Education became my vocation relatively late in life. I earned my teaching certification in 1997. In 1999, I earned my Master of Elementary Education degree from Salem State University. In 2016, I earned a CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies) degree in Educational Leadership from Salem State.

I was born and raised in Somerville, the fifth of six children. Three of us are teachers, another a nurse, and two more were long-time hockey coaches. The values my parents instilled in us were family, service, education, and faith. I believe strongly in all four, and try to model them for my students.

Mrs. Walsh, my son, Conor, and I have lived in Beverly since 1985. I was involved in youth sports for many years, working with St. John the Evangelist cross-country, the North Shore Catholic Elementary School Cross-Country League, St. Mary Star of the Sea basketball, and various Somerville and Beverly youth leagues (Somerville and Beverly Youth Hockey, Beverly Youth Soccer, Pop Warner, Kiwanis Basketball, Little League, Babe Ruth, Senior Babe Ruth).

I am a parishioner of the Beverly Collaborative. I am a Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and help out the ushers when needed. I have also taught Religious Education.

Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the business world for nearly twenty years, primarily in the financial and computer software industries. These jobs helped me to discern how I can best serve, and that is by being an educator.
