Drama Jr.
Drama Jr. is open to all students in Grades Kindergarten through Grade 6.
Drama Jr. gives children an opportunity to express their creativity in acting,
singing, and dance! The students will have a lot of fun working on songs and
scenes from 3 well-loved Disney + features! There will be plenty of opportunities
for kids to shine! Each session will include warmups, improv and fun drama games!
Drama Jr. is run by former Saints teacher and Drama Club Director, Mrs. Gail Caress and her husband Jay.

JAY AND GAIL CARESS
Jay and Gail have been working as a team since their days as married college students when they traveled the US as a singing/songwriting duo for the Bethel University admissions office. Since then they’ve raised four children together (who are all singer/songwriters, among other things!). For five years they co-directed Associates in Media in Los Angeles, CA, a non-profit resource group for Hollywood actors, musicians, writers. directors, and producers.
Jay has a Masters Degree in Communications and a business background but for the last 15 years has been a teacher and administrator of various North Shore children’s programs including Drama and Music.
Gail has been a teacher for over 20 years. She taught Music, was the Choral Director and musically directed five shows at Manchester Essex Middle/High School in Manchester, MA. She was a teacher at The Saints Academy as well as, the Choral Director and directed nine musicals at St. John the Evangelist School and The Saints Academy. After retiring from Saints, Gail & her husband Jay started The Saints Academy Drama Jr. Program. She has also taught private piano and voice lessons for many years.
The 2024 Drama Jr. Program Details
Drama Jr. will take place on Wednesdays from 2:30 to 4:15 p.m.
October 23 – November 20
with a performance for family and friends on November 20.
